Free Carnival postcard & mask – Free postcard n.2

I’m happy to share with you  a diy “Carnival postcard”: a paper postcard that can be used as a mask too

The key words of this blog post are: Carnival + DIY + postcard + art therapy, such a great mix of ideas!

(ps. This is the second FREE POSTCARD i made, if you missed the first one…have a look to this page.)

The Carnival-postcard-mask was a present for my super friend Irene. The drawing for the postcard was inspired by her and the gorgeous city where she lives: Barcelona. Irene is an enthusiastic architect, i think she’ll enjoy the idea that she can color herself the postcard-mask.

Download for free the Carnival Mask i made for my friend Irene – here – .

The idea, the project and the drawing is a “Do it Juicy” original idea, inspired by “art therapy”.

I’m a proud supporter of the power of colors and pencils, drawing help my to be concentrated and has a therapeutic power.

(WIKI …  Adult coloring books help with developing fine motor skills and vision, reducing anxiety and creating focus, and relieving stress and anxiety in a manner similar to meditation.[19] Concentrating on coloring may facilitate the replacement of negative thoughts and images with pleasant ones….)

The “Carnival-postcard-mask” has a double use:

  • you can choose to write-colour-and send it to a fried
  • or you can just made your own carnival mask…HOW?

Just follow the following instructions, but first download here the FREE TEMPLATE

DIY S. Valentine’s day decoration

I’m super proud to show you my first DIY project video for Youtube. Finally you can subscribe to my channel here !

Let’s show you my new DIY project for S. Valentine’s day.

How to make super nice cardboards hearts using only one red cardboard.

What you need is:

  • red cardboard
  • scissor
  • glue
  • 4 wooden sticks (for sure you’ll find them in your kitchen)
  • 4 scarabeo letters (to write LOVE or something else)

In the following video  i’ll show how to make them, but is very simple.

  1. cut the cardboard in 4 or more stripes 2cm x 20 cm (but you can choose a different dimension);

3) cut stripes in half

4) cut edges

5) glue stripes on sticks and…make hearts as in the picture:

7) complete the decoration withe four scarabeo letters or write the word you like the most:

You made it!

Enjoy your S. Valentine’s day. You can use them to decorate a cake, or your house 🙂

Here the video where i’ll show you how to easily make cardboards hearts, please SHARE and SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube channel!

Happy S. Valentine’s day

Love you all!

Do you believe in La La Land?

La la land: “to think that things that are completely impossible might happen, rather than understanding how things really are”

Cambridge Dictionary

I’m in love with La La Land movie, do you know why? Don’t worry i’m not going to spoil.

I’m in love with Ryan Gosling,  Los Angeles, Emma Stone’s yellow dress (and short hair..wow) and jazz music!

La la land is not a movie about love and music, is a “state of mind”.  It is about everyday life and “explores the joy and pain of pursuing our dreams”. The fact is…what will you choose : your dream or your eternal love?

While i still think about this…let’s go to sleep and dream about Ryan Gosling!

The movie is just a key for me to show you the following moodboard about “Famous dance scenes in movies”.  The best 8 scenes in my “la la land” world.

Are you late for your carnival dress idea? Let’s be inspired and do it yourself :

  1. Dirty dancing 1987 – Time of my life
  2. La la land 2016
  3. Grease 1978 – You’re the one that i want
  4. The blues brothers 1980 –
  5. The beauty and the beast 1991
  6. Titanic 1997 – Third class dance
  7. Pulp fiction 1994
  8. The mask 1994

And the winner is….

🙂
