Everything is almost ready for Halloween night.
The door’s house is adorned with horrible subjects like skeletons, pumpkins and spiders and the party is going to be funny with my friends.
Last day i brought some Halloween straws from Tiger shop (with skeletons and pumpkins decorations) and i realized that will be fun to create something with them.
Than the DIY idea : i need a door wreath!
To make the door wreath i used these tools:
- some Tiger’s straws (with skeletons and pumpkins)
- 3 plastic spiders
- a mosquito net
- a metallic string
- hot glue
- some black crepe paper
How to make the garland:
Use the metallic string to make the round shape (choose by yourserlf how large) , than upholster it with the black crepe paper as in the photo below.
Then start to decorate it as you prefer with the Tiger’s skeletons and pumpkins as i made in the photos belowe. Use the net to simulate the spider web and use hot glue to fix everything.
And finally this is how my new door wreath looks like, do you like it?
You can also use hot glue to make the spider’s web more realistic.
Sometimes not everything works perfect…here a picture of my “sad Halloween thumb” 🙂
Then i used more crepe paper to decorate the upper side of the doorm and like this it looks like very scary.
Did you know that Halloween was an ancient Celtic festivity?
“Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.
This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter. This time of the year was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.” Find more informations here 🙂
